Arunachal Pradesh Launches Investor-Friendly Tourism Policy to Boost Travel and Business Opportunities

In a bold move to revolutionize its tourism sector, Arunachal Pradesh has unveiled a forward-thinking and investor-friendly tourism policy aimed at attracting greater investment and increasing tourist inflow. Launched in New Delhi, this strategic initiative seeks to enhance the ease of doing business in Arunachal Pradesh, making it a hotspot for tourism investment in Northeast India.

New Tourism Policy: A Gateway to Incredible Arunachal

The new policy, announced by Pasang Dorjee Sona, the State’s Minister for Tourism, Education, RWD, Library, and Parliamentary Affairs, introduces a fresh logo and vision for the state. With an ambitious target to double domestic tourist footfall and increase international arrivals tenfold, Arunachal Pradesh is clearly positioning itself as a premier destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and cultural enthusiasts.

Describing the state as a “hidden paradise,” Sona highlighted Arunachal’s unmatched natural beauty, diverse culture, and breathtaking landscapes—factors that make it an ideal location for tourism development.

Single-Window Clearance to Boost Tourism Investment

One of the most significant highlights of the new policy is the focus on simplifying investment procedures. To enhance investor confidence and minimize bureaucratic red tape, the policy introduces a single-window clearance mechanism. This system will provide all necessary clearances and approvals from one centralized point, ensuring swift and hassle-free project execution.

Sona stated, “This initiative will save investors a lot of time and effort, as they will not have to visit multiple offices. It will also enhance the state’s appeal in terms of tourist infrastructure.”

Long-Term Land Leases to Remove Investment Barriers

Another transformative measure in the policy is the provision for long-term land leases, aimed at removing one of the major bottlenecks faced by tourism investors. This step is expected to pave the way for large-scale development of hotels, eco-resorts, adventure camps, and other tourism infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh: India’s Emerging Travel and Investment Destination

With its stunning natural scenery, unexplored trails, and vibrant tribal heritage, Arunachal Pradesh is emerging as a top tourism destination in India. The new tourism policy not only promotes sustainability but also opens doors for private sector participation in tourism projects.

This visionary move aligns perfectly with India’s national goals of promoting the Northeast as a travel and investment hub. By improving ease of doing business and offering investor-friendly incentives, Arunachal Pradesh is signaling that it is open for business—and adventure.
